A new venture of Firstbloggers Club, the medical advisory, started to-day by the administrator; contacted through Windy, who perhaps likes to be called as fool; what I saw in his web site.
So, it is Dr. Prahallad panda, Specialist in surgery in Paradip Port trust hospital, Odisha (Orissa), India. He is a qualified surgeon in the allopathic system of medicine, registered with the Orissa Council of medical registration, Bhubaneswar; having registration no 9300.

As everybody knows, medical science is a very vast subject and a little is known to the scientists and doctors about the root cause of diseases. That is why, the term idiopathic is added as prefix to the name of some diseases e.g. Idiopathic Hypertension; where the cause of hypertension is not known. So, we stand there.
Keeping these things in mind, we will run the medical advisory of FBC. Here, some information about diseases will be given for the knowledge of everybody in rather a over simplified manner; but as you know, there are so many things which are to be considered for actual treatmentĀ of a disease. That is why, it is advised to follow the instructions of your treating doctor as final.
With this, I thank Windy, for giving me the responsibility of managing it. I was just astonished, at the speed of work of Windy in setting the medical page. I sincerely appreciate it.
Here, I appeal to everybody, to let me know their area of interest in medical subject, so that it will be easier for me to choose a subject for discussion. I can be contacted through my e-mail without any reservation in mind. Any member want to post some medical article may please send to me, which will be posted after seeing the contents.
In beginning a discussion, I would like to ask, “Drinking how much of water per day is sufficient for an individual adult”.
Very shortly the precise answer is, that much of water which would produce an urine output of about 1.5 to 2 litres/day, of course in an adult. We will see later, why?

Good Afternoon Dr. P. Pandy,
What a lovely introduction!
There is a wealth of medical knowledge in India. Over several conversations with others, I have been made aware of the medical skills and depth that is available in India, both from antiquity and modern.
I hope to read a few from you about Ayurvedic Medicines (and yes I know that’s a mouthful).
In particular and for a very special lady, I hope you can provide her assistance with her respiratory problem (Asthma) and high blood pressure. I have been close with her health illness and I know that she has been in and out of hospitals without the desired result.
She is Lainy of Lainy’s Musings (http://www.lainyonline.com) and is also a co-Admin at FBC.
Thanking you in advance for that Sir!
I see you’re off to a cool start at FBC Medical. I am sure this blogsite is going to make very good progress with your capable self.
Cheers!
Ok, Dear.
